SeatGuru Seat Map Lufthansa (2023)

Flew Business Class from AMM-FRA as first leg of trip back to US. What Lufthansa calls Business on their shorter flights is pathetic and criminal. It was a standard economy seat with the middle seat left empty. This flight was just under 5 hours and certainly should have REAL biz class seats. I will avoid LH in the future.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2019/11/10 for Seat 9E

It is quite unreasonable to even call this a seat. Combining the features of a medeival ducking stool used to make witches confess, and a chair designed to inflict pain of the type utilized by religious devotees who self flagellate with barbed wire, fhis type of seat should banned. Suitable for your small child, small dog, guitar or a handcuffed prisoner, this was the single most uncomfortable seat I have ever sat in. These should not be allowed by EASA, it was complexity unacceptable. It should be marked in red with a huge X through it. Now I'm in the hotel trying to fix my back, as it has actually screwed it up.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2019/08/08 for Seat 25B

This should be a red (bad seat). Absolutely the most narrow seat I have ever sat in.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/12/10 for Seat 25B

all the double seats on this plane (25B/C, 9D/E, 25D/E) are substantially narrower (2 inches) than the other seats. this is due to the nearby exit door. Not only is the seat narrower but the B/E seats do not align with the seat in front due to this narrowing and your knees do not align with the recess in the seat back in front of you, further limiting your space compared to any other seat)

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/08/16 for Seat 2A

Worse business seat I have ever been on in 53 years of my life. It is like sitting on a bicycle seat for 5 hours.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/08/13 for Seat 2D

Flew LH business from CPH-MUN, one of the weirdest layouts i've seen and experienced. Flying business, you'd expect wide seats, AVOD, or some sort of entertainment.the seats are exactly the same as those in economy minus the middle seat being blocked. PROS: light snack.CONS: Same seat as econ, no power, no entertainment, very thin padding....Now that i know the difference, i'll just pay for regular economy and buy food at the airport.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/08/07 for Seat 10E

10E has very good leg room. Also, it is next to the crew seat so, while this looks like middle seat, it isn't really as the flight attendant is up and about for most of the flight, which means you can lean into the vacant space. There is also one other seat to the right but the space in 10E is better than 11D or 11C because there is no bolt-upright middle seat person to share space with.Having been in seats 11C and 11D, 10E is best.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/08/07 for Seat 11D

11D has very good leg room because it is right behind the crew seat. However, the crew seat has quite a high back so the view forward is blocked. This is the aisle seat in a set of 3 - so it is very likely that someone (often a taller person) will choose the middle seat - even tho it is just that: a middle seat.I originally had 11C but traded so a couple could sit together. 11C, also an aisle seat, has the middle passenger issue to, but the legroom in 11C is double any other row on the plane.I will review separately, but on the second leg of my trip, I had 10E - which I much preferred - esp when the flight attendant was up and about.

Submitted by Mayland R on 2018/07/02 for Seat 16b

good legroom at 5’7”. 6’2” companion can also sit without legs pressed into seat in front.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/04/25 for Seat 10E

No under seat storage due to exit row. Plenty of leg room.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/04/22 for Seat 4f

calling this business class is ridiculous; the spacing is narrower than AF's CDG-TLV _coach_ seats; and BA's LHR-TLV actually has flat-bed seats in business class. This makes a FRA connection a bad choice.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/02/14 for Seat 5C

Seat 5C has no headroom storage as the oxygen tank is located above the seat. Also note that Business Class is limited to rows 1-4 only.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/01/05 for Seat 25D and 25e

Most uncomfortable plane/seat we have ever had to endure. Very cramped. Very little padding in the seat. Felt like we were sitting on a cement block.

Submitted by Matt M on 2017/09/28 for Seat 2F

A321 type aircraft. Seats 1A and 2F are the best seats for business class. Unlike standard bulkhead facing seats the tray tables extend from the bulkhead in front and not the armrest. Seats 1C and 2D do have tray tables in the armrest. Empty middle seats 1B and 2E have tray tables on the bulkhead.

Row with only 1 Windows (normaly 2)

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/07/14 for Seat 3E

The worst business class seats I have flown. Paper thin, barely recline, mimimal legroom. Seat is similar to bare bones economy.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/07/10

This is the first row behind the curtain that divides business class and economy. Sitting here you are facing a curtain all the time. Not suitable for people who are not comfortable in narrow spaces. Moreover, the flight attendant parked the food trolley next to our seats for quite some time, while serving business class. Making us feeling even more locked up. Narrow seats and seat 9B did not recline.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/03/20 for Seat 7C

Business class means 3 super thin and hard economy seats per row with the middle seat not occupied, leg room very limited, no entertainment, no possibility to charge phone or notebook. Extremely uncomfortable on a 5 hours flight, even though I had the entire row for myself, I couldn't take much advantage because the hardness of the seats made it impossible to sleep. It is a rip off because one pays for a real business class flight.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/01/23 for Seat 1F

Using economy seats and calling them "business" on this leg is well known. But now they've made it much worse with super thin cushions on seats. 5 hours of overnight flying in hard shells that recline minimally is torture - especially at business prices, and especially compared to the second leg of this journey where LH provide superb comfort on the upper deck of their 747-8 - true business class comfort. Doesn't make sense.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/01/17 for Seat 3a

Worst business class ever for a flight over 4 hours; a real rip-off, given you pay full business price ang get economy seat amd service; not a plug in the whole plane to charge my phone! Many other airlines on the same route (GVA-AMM) offering a real buisness class for the same price!

MUC to TLV on Luthansa A321-WORST BUSINESS CLASS FLIGHT IN MY LIFE. The seats were extremely narrow and really thin with no legroom (I'm 5' 11"). There were no tv's or ports of ANY KIND and the food was plastic. The flight to MUC from BOS on an a340 600 was fabulous; MUCH RATHER FLY NONSTOP 12 HRS THAN FLY ON THIS ATROCIOUS PLANE!!!!!

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/12/07 for Seat 24F

Seat 24F does not recline, perhaps due to the emergency exit behind it.I did not try the other seats in row 24.

Submitted by Daniel M on 2016/09/23 for Seat 20f

Berlin to Frankfurt, on Lufthansa's A321 has fair legroom in coach for a tall man. I am 6'3" (191cm) and my knees had a few inches still before touching the seat in front of me.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/08/26 for Seat 11A

11A is really great with lots of leg room. The only problem is that quite often when you book 11A you end of sitting on a regular row.The reason is that in many cases due to high demands of business class seats the curtain is moved back to row 12 and then row 11 becomes business.be ware of this. therefore if you want extra leg room your best bet is to book row 26.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/08/21 for Seat 2F

I flew from MUC to BCN with Lufthansa. My seat 2F was one of the best seats in Business Class. I had a lot of legroom. The galley was next to it, but not verry bad. I had enough space for my luggage (one big bag and a rucksack). I'll take this seat again.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/05/18 for Seat 5A

Business class on European carriers is a real mix. The hard product sucks, just an economy seat with the middle lest open, however on a 1.5 hour flight you get a full meal, something you would never see on a U.S. carrier. I thought that this was a pleasant way to travel FRA-NCE

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/04/13 for Seat 27D

Seat 27D has extra space in front of it, which is good if you want to use a laptop. But the crew seat in front of 27D is solid right down to the floor, so you cannot stretch your legs out. I actually moved from 27D to 27E during my flight because my feet were too cramped in 27D. I'm 6' 0".

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/03/01 for Seat 25C

A nightmare, all 4 seats in row 25 are undersized and half leg room compared to standard economy.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/02/21 for Seat 11A

This seat had more leg room than any airplane seat I've ever had in my life. Only downside is that there's no under-seat storage.

Tel Aviv to Frakfurt. 4hours of discomfort. If I had checked out the aircraft I would have changed carriers.Other than boarding first and the food, there is no reason to pay for business class.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/11/30 for Seat 9B

Seats 9A through 9C are actually about 1-2 inches narrower than standard seats on this plane, making it a real pain to sit in these with two grown ups next to you.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/07/15 for Seat 9A

Seat 9A is smaller and also noisy due to the emergency exit and the engine noise that can be heard through the rubber sealing.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/05/17 for Seat 38D

There is no overhead storage above rows 37 and 38, as these are used for storage of emergency equipment.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/05/01 for Seat 11A

I agree that seat 11A is very nice. You have meters of legroom, two windows, and two pouches for storing things.

Friend and I had 3D and 3F in Lufthansa BusinessClass from FRA-MAD and 3A and 3C MAD-FRA (I moved up to 2A since the left row was empty and wanted to look out the window). Very stiff, very thin, very uncomfortable Slimline seats with barely any legroom due to very close pitch (I'm 6'1" tall). Not at all what you want or are expecting when connecting from a trans-Atlantic LH BusinessClass wide-body flight. Was no different at all from cattle-class Economy seating in US. MAD-FRA was a little better because there were open seats on the aisle, allowing for a bit more room to stretch across with your legs. The blocked-off middle seat, though, makes it impossible to stretch out your torso at all. FRA-MAD was full in BusinessClass and therefore miserable. Service was good, especially with our MAD-FRA F/A but that doesn't make up for extreme sitting discomfort, especially in supposed BusinessClass. Just to get something in a carry-on from under the seat in front of you is going to require serious contortionist training (and probably a chiropractor visit afterwards). Frankly not at all worth the money to pay for LH BusinessClass on this intra-Europe aircraft. Would have been better to sit in row 11 in Economy with all the extra space. Also, don't expect to reserve rows 1 or 2 unless you're a high-level LH flyer: they won't give it to you, otherwise.

I flew from Frankfurt to Heathrow on my way back from Houston, and I was very unhappy. I sat with my cousin on Row 35. Barely any legroom, tables were loose and the pockets on the seats in front were broken. Very cramped plane. Somehow I managed to sleep through most of the flight, but I was very disappointed. Narrow aisles and no TV screens. I'll be flying on a Turkish A321 and I am praying my exprience will be better than Lufthansa.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/04/07 for Seat 9E

Careful! Seat 9E is even narrower than the standard economy seats, even though there is no window seat next to it (safety reasons?). In addition, the armrests could not be moved.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/02/25 for Seat 10F

very narrow and cramped "window"seat where the window is really in your back and you only have a good view of the emergency door. Slim seats very uncomfortable, even on ATH-FRA which is not particularly long (2.5 hr)

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/12/28

The fact that they call this Business class is a joke. The pitch is terrible and very tight for anyone over 5'8. The seats are literally 1 inch thick, and very uncomfortable. Felt like livestock

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/11/02 for Seat 27C

Seat had almost zero recline. Legroom totally insufficient, breakfast was poor quality yoghurt and a packet of what looked like bird food, cabin crew indifferent. Definitely poor value for the money.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/08/29 for Seat 35c

This is my last flight on this aircraft route, no reclining seat (maybe 2 inches) no TV, no seat cushion, the good paying people of Azerbaijan have other options, and I hope they exercise this right as I will. Turkish airlines is very good.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/03/07 for Seat 3F

Business class is a sad joke on this plane. For the extra price you get the same poor legroom as coach, and the same “ergonomically designed” (read “very uncomfortable”) paper thin seatbacks. Worse yet: a stupid little piece of plastic (an extra table? Cup holder?) is bolted over the middle seat. It cannot be removed or raised. So even if you have no row-mates, you can still not stretch out. Seated by the window? You’d have to resort to your acrobatic training if you want to use leave your seat when your new friend in the aisle seat is sleeping. Bottom line: don’t waste your money (or miles) on the 321’s biz class. Or fly another airline.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2013/08/08 for Seat 2C

This is just coach seating with a little table over the center seats, and slightly better food. I'm 6' 2" and the legroom was horrible, even though i was in Business Class. If your flight isn't going to be full, don't pay for Business Class on this plane.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2013/05/19 for Seat 11A

Seats 11A-11C are awesome! You feel as if you have more space than you can wish for!
